About PASS
Bob Byrnes professional career began in 1981 after receiving his B. S. in Safety Management from Indiana University of PA. He worked for a number of insurance firms and was an independent safety consultant in Houston and San Antonio, TX. He then accepted a VP position with Aon Insurance Brokers in Minneapolis, MN and worked as a regional risk control director with eight consultants in three States. He left Aon and became an independent consultant working for a number of clients, including TLC Companies. TLC hired him Full Time and he built the safety department into a staff of 4 who serves over 360 transportation companies in 42 States.
Bob is a CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and has his ARM (Associate in Risk Management). His experience is diverse. He was the lead safety consultant on the Sea World of Texas OCIP construction project, consulted with large manufacturers such as Xerox, Skychefs, Polaris, and AMPI – Associated Milk Producers. He inspected drilling rigs for Helmerich and Payne and worked with many oilfield companies. The last 17 years are now in transportation where he maintains his expertise and focus.
